First things first, acne is not a death sentence, so don’t think of it as one. I know lots of people, especially teenagers who get so desperate with treating the condition that they go to extreme heights. If you are one of such persons, it’s time to “take it easy”. Thankfully there are many solutions to the condition nowadays and lots of them work very well.
But of course, if you want the many acne treatments out there to work very well for you, it’s important that you avoid the many mistakes that can be made. One of the biggest mistakes that acne sufferers make while attempting to treat the condition is NOT being consistent with a particular acne treatment.
Not being consistent with a particular acne treatment, especially one recommended by your doctor or dermatologist can be very dire. I am sure you have heard it before, but it’s worth repeating – patience is a virtue, especially when it comes to curing or treating acne. If you think acne can be cured overnight, then you are dead wrong. It took time to come upon you, so it will take a little while to be gotten rid of.
So, if you are already using a particular acne solution, especially one that was recommended by an expert, then you should stick to it, for a while, before you jump into the conclusion that it’s not the best one for you. The more you use it, the more it works, obviously. If you must stop using it, you should at least give it a few weeks of consistent use. Also, ensure that you talk to the dermatologist or doctor that recommended it to you, before you stop using it. They could have a thing or two to say that can help.
