What is acne? Acne, commonly known as pimples, is the worst nightmare for the very unfortunate to suffer. Is the skin disease more common today. In the United States, nearly 60 million people are infected with acne, where 85 percent of teenagers suffer from it. Acne is a disorder due to the action of hormones on the skin's sebaceous glands (sebaceous glands) leading to plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions commonly called pimples or blemishes. Acne lesions usually occur on the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders. Acne can involve mild to severe outbreaks of pimples and cysts on the face and sometimes on the back, shoulders and chest. These are the terms of acne that can help you better understand acne. Comedo are simply a plugged hair follicle and expanded. When an open comedo, is often called a pimple. When closed, or deep in the skin, is often called Whitehead. The Whitehead differs in the color of the blackhead because the opening of the plugged sebaceous follicle to the skin surface is very narrow or closed, in contrast to the distended follicular opening of the shin. Neither blackheads or pimples should be squeezed or picked open, unless removed by a dermatologist under sterile conditions. Tissue injured by squeezing or picking can become infected by staphylococci, streptococci and skin bacteria. Cysts are lumps under the skin that have pus and tissue of another kind, and they can be redness, swelling and pain – but they do not come to mind as blackheads do. The cysts can cause scarring and blemishes, uneven skin color.
