Acne has always been a dreaded occurrence in our life. Most of us have carried this burden in our teenage years and after almost seven teenage years we think we are finally home free. Then one morning in your twenty sixth, twenty seventh or even twenty eighth year of your existence you wake up with a huge zit on you face. And even worst, sometimes it is not just one but two or even three or even four! And they just keep on sprouting like weeds in an inhibited garden! So you wonder, I’m already an adult so why, why, WHY?

Adult acne is more common than we thought. Almost five percent of adults have adult acne mostly in their twenties, thirties and even forties and beyond. Adult acne can be found in the face and sometimes even on the neck and on the chest and back area. There are many reasons for the occurrence of these devils incarnates and we will enumerate them here plus ways on how to outsmart them.

Adult Acne Source Number 1: those pesky hormones

And we all thought we are done with having problems caused by them! Apparently, they still have a last attack. Experts still can’t pinpoint the main reason why our oil glands are more prone to breakouts because of hormonal shifts in this age line. Unfortunately, these up and down hormonal shifts are the main culprit in adult acne. But fortunately, there’s an easy cure for these shifts and that is the common birth control pill. But take note that this is not applicable to you if you are pregnant. For stubborn and hard to kill zits, you may also use medication that has the ingredient retinoids that can help unclog those pores. If still doesn’t work then it’s high time to up your ammunition. Use antibiotics (may be topical or even oral) to reduce the swelling.

Adult Acne Source Number 2: stress

Stress is also a major source of adult acne. But we can’t help it, can we? Our world is full of stress inducing situation and things that it is already a part of our daily lives. We have bills to pay, kids to feed and a house to clean. So much stress we endure in a day that it results to the dreaded adult acne. This happens because stress triggers the body to secrete cortisol that results in the secretion of more hormones thus resulting to zits. So what do we do when the bump pops? Relax! Do some de-stressing. Go on a vacation or just spend a day doing nothing. Eat right, sleep right and do your exercise routine regularly. If your darn acne are still there after doing these things for a month or two then it is high time to see your dermatologist for some treatment and prescription.

Adult Acne Source Number 3: Daily Grooming Products

It is a fact that as we grow older we tend to become more vain especially in our twenties to thirties when we are still finding our ideal mate. We tend to use a lot of products to make ourselves more attractive to the opposite sex. Unfortunately, this only results to adult acne as these products tend to block pores which can result to zits erupting like crazy in our pretty little faces. How ironic, isn’t it? We bought and used these products to make ourselves more pretty only to have these little craters embed in our face. So what to do? Simplify! You don’t need all these products to make yourself pretty. Just use basics like moisturizer, cleanser and sun block. Purchase cosmetics that are noncomedogenic and make sure that they are oil free especially your moisturizer. And always remember your acne 101: do not touch your face or rest your pretty little chin in your grubby little hands!

Acne, the Scourge of Youth

Plan a date; get ready for the prom, set the date for your senior picture or just want to look nice. What always happens; you know, acne, a zit as big as a cabbage lands on your face or on your nose. You feel like an alien in a land of smooth skinned movie stars. Why don’t the popular kids get acne? What are they doing that you aren’t doing. Why me; why me; why does this always happen to me. I’m a good person; why am I plagued with acne. No one knows for sure why people, especially teenagers, get acne. In the fifties and sixties, teens were told that chocolate caused acne or eating too much fried food caused acne. No one really knew anything to do except use Noxzema and pray. There were only acne treatments, no cures. Having acne was seen as a rite of passage.
Today we know much more about acne and acne treatments. Some people have acne so bad that they take prescription medicine so strong that they must sign that they will not get pregnant while taking the drug. Other people take natural acne treatments because the idea of using potentially harmful treatments scares them more than the acne. The major problem with acute acne is that it can cause acne scars so bad that people have to seek acne laser treatments to improve their skin. Still others go to the grocery store and find over the counter acne products. As anyone who has ever suffered from acne will tell you, acne can rob you of your dignity and your feelings of self-worth. Our outward appearance, especially during the teen years, is so important. I know, “Pretty is as pretty does.” Well, pretty never seems to have acne.
People can be so cruel to acne sufferers. They can call you tomato face, pimple face, scar man or hundreds of ugly taunts. Because teens need to look good to feel good about themselves, the market for acne treatments is enormous. Commercials on television are always advertising the latest in acne medications especially during teen shows. The kids on the show always have smooth, blemish free faces and look exactly like every teen wants to look. Teens want to buy whatever acne medication is new and different in the hope that this new acne treatment will work better than others.
There are even infomercials about acne treatments and acne cover-ups. These infomercials show adults who are looking for make-up to cover-up acne or acne scars. This heavy make-up does seem to cover up scaring or acne on the people doing the infomercial. There are also infomercials about adult acne solutions. Unfortunately, some adults do still get acne. There is a huge market of acne medications or acne treatments for adult acne, not on just the face but also for people who suffer from acne back. Shame makes these people fear others seeing their acne.
One truth remains. There is no cure for acne but there are steps that can be taken to help prevent it. People who think that youth is wasted on the young probably never had acne.

The Best Treatments Available For Adult Acne

Contrary to the commonly held view that acne is a problem almost exclusively affecting hormonal teenagers, it is, in actual fact, experienced by around 1 in 4 of 25-44 year old adults around the world.

That figure can be further broken down by gender to show that approximately 54% of adult females are affected at some stage in their lives and approximately 40% of adult males. So quite clearly it is not a problem purely affecting our young people.

Adult acne is often referred to as Acne Rosacea whilst acne amongst teenagers is known by the rather unattractive name Acne Vulgaris.

Treatments for adult acne are extremely varied and numerous from common antibiotics to very harsh steroid and synthetic vitamin treatments, and it can often be a daunting process to try and select which treatment would be the most effective in your particular case.

Antibiotics for example only kill the present bacteria, and must be constantly used to keep your Acne away. Constantly using antibiotics can be dangerous and cause other health problems and in extreme cases, it can also cause your immune system to close down. There are many liquid products that may temporarily clean or kill the bacteria, which again is only a temporary treatment.

Traditional ‘over the counter’ treatments as well as many treatments prescribed by your local physician or dermatologist do undoubtedly have a degree of success in certain cases but far too often they do not tackle the problem at its source, i.e getting at the root cause of the problem and working from ‘the inside out’.

We at AcneAunt.com firmly believe that natural, herbal remedies are the most effective and safe forms of acne treatment.

One particular product that I would like to bring to your attention is ACNEZINE

What are its benefits?

1. It is a natural acne treatment formula with no side effects.
2. Fast and effective acne cure from the inside out.
3. Effective for all ages suffering from facial or body acne.
4. It gets rid of blackheads & whiteheads, spots, pimples, redness, pus.
5. Dermatologist Recommended with Guaranteed Results.

These are just some of the reasons why ACNEZINE (formerly known as Acuzine) is one of our top choices among acne treatments on the market today. It’s easy to use, very effective, and gets results fairly quickly.
Virtually everyone who tries it experiences positive results within 6 months using this product. Perhaps one of its most significant benefits not even mentioned above is that it offers a gentle approach to skin care by dealing with the source of the problem rather than the result. This is crucial to pay special attention to as several of the harsh products currently available, as alluded to above, can actually make acne worse.
Acnezine is just one of a small select group of Highly Recommended Products which we would happily endorse to all adults suffering from acne. These products have been recommended only after hours of extensive research and listening to the views of countless satisfied users.

What the products all have in common is that they are all natural and perfectly safe and in fact in many cases are actually beneficial to your health, which is a claim that could certainly not be made by certain more established and recognised treatment products such as Accutane.

Hopefully you have found this information in some way helpful. Whatever course of acne treatment you decide to undertake, make sure you know of any related side effects and if possible get the views of people who have already experienced the same treatment. I sincerely hope that whatever product you choose proves to be successful.

The Sad Tales Of Adult Acne

The tales of adult acne has ever been a silent one, only told as whispers and an unfortunate few suffered from it, some may even refuse to show themselves to the world. The manifestation of adult acne has been recognized during the Eighties, when the yuppie generation has standardized of what is to become the hip urban lifestyle free of adult acne and any other lesions.

Though adult acne is one aesthetic issue that is quite prevalent in the real world, nearly 25 percent of men, and about 50 percent of women from their twenties and even in their fifties may still experience having adult acne. The face is usually the first place for adult acne to appear, and may also form in parts of the body only their significant other knows where.

So much like the majority of teenagers with their growing pains, what sort of twisted fate that could make adults tremble with fear due to adult acne? Have they suffered enough when they were younger and forced to douse themselves with every medicated formula there is to cure adult acne?

As much as today’s medical breakthroughs can offer in the 21st century, adult acne, so much like teenage acne, still has no cure though doctors and dermatologists believe its roots may be traced to hormonal imbalance. Another addition to the cause of adult acne can be found on how we actually live, mostly on diet, stress, vitamin deficiency, and evolutionary biology. No, we are not turning into monsters. All they can prescribe is that products on acne marketed for teens may also be used by adults.

Social issues fall victim to adult acne, causing anxiety and depression among friends and family alike. Who could just walk into an after-hours club when his or her face is covered in adult acne? It may be a vanity thing for those who would want to stand out to be noticed, but adult acne is one type of concern that will definitely make you stand out like a weed. Skin clinics rejoice that they make thousands of (pesos) from people to help them get rid of their adult acne. Cosmetic products like foundations, blushes and such kept flying off the shelves as women find ways to hide the scars caused by adult acne. They would say that ‘judge not a book by its cover’, but it would only mean that only the fortunate ones have not suffered adult acne. As we live in a generation where superficiality can be just about anything, adult acne has become a hindrance of a majority of adults who wish to look presentable.

We have yet to find the ultimate cure for adult acne, and while the answer is yet to be found, only prevention is the best cure for adult acne.

What a Surprise – The Cause of Adult Acne is a Mystery!

For many years medical science had no idea what caused the adult acne. That's probably because the medical community had realized that there was no such thing as adult acne. It can be difficult to understand, but until 1980 there was no sickness, – while 25% of adults suffer from some degree. As in the version for adolescents, it is difficult to determine the cause of adult acne. Adolescent and teen or adult acne has been investigated for many years and, indeed, any information obtained during this investigation can be used to understand the cause of adult acne. It is likely that whatever causes teenage acne also have something to do with the adult version of this disease. Stress, dehydration, genetic problems or a simple hormonal imbalance? The problem is that there are many conflicting theories about the causes of adult and adolescent acne. Almost everything has been accused: stress, dehydration, having (or not having) sex, poor diet and genetic problems. In the case of adolescents, most of these "causes" seem to have no connection with acne. However, in the case of adults, things are not so clear. The immediate cause of adult acne is well known: hormonal imbalances. With the causes of teenage acne are easier to understand. Things are much more complicated with adult acne. Stress reduction and the introduction of a well balanced diet has little effect on adolescents, but the tactics often work well for adults. How to heal itself from adult acne progress depends on the immediate cause of hormonal imbalance. Because it is difficult to determine the exact cause of adult acne, it is advisable to do everything at once – change your diet, reduce stress and (for women) – start using hormonal pills or vitamin A. In many cases, the recommended pills are known to reduce the number of skin blemishes. This reinforces the theory that the cause of adult acne is hormonal problems. More importantly, it often reduces the effects of acne, no matter what the reason. Vitamin A helps to achieve the same effect. However, only a synthetic analogue of the vitamin retinoic acid, has an effect on acne, "real" vitamin A is useless. The problem is that retinoic acid, can be obtained only by prescription and hormonal pills are usually avoided by religious or philosophical reasons.
